More and more paint scraping by the gang. Donna,Iris, Sally-Jo and April are about done with room 1 and on their way to number two. Contractors start monday with bathroom remodeling.

Improvements are looking good. Will probably be up there with the Blue Knights on May 23-26 for the 30th anniversary conference being held in Townsend, TN.

Stayed this week at this resort and I must share this. The rooms were immaculate, new from top to bottom with motorheads in mind. The resturant was spotless, fast and cheap and the quanity was great, we had lunch, dinner and breakfast. I spent way too much $$ at the gift, souvineer shop because of the prices being so low. We were able to get something for everyone afraid to come. Excellent quality on the t-shirts, hot sause, decals, and kick stand pads. I had a room but inspected everything else, the facilities for the campers was heated and spotless, one gal said because it was so clean and warm she was thinking about sleeping there in the restroom. That speaks volumes about the establishment, people will even sleep in the restroom it's so nice! Weather was clear and upper 60s. so it wasn't that. You can stay here and still have some $$ left to ride eat and buy a memory jogger or two. The maids even offered to clean our cloths, there was a bike cleaning area with rags free air at the pump and a loading dock. The camping area was stoneless, green and flat but very pure in the fact that one direction was the resort in the other was wild turkey, and bear tracks. Be a real hoot to travel with hopes of tamming the Dragon but be eaten by a bear instead, thats too funny serious but funny because it's my luck. I didn't have to share this but there's so much crap out there when someone tries and can offer my poor ass a leg up be it a cleaner room, better food etc. I share the info. with the sisters and brothers who deserve the best. They could be the blan pastel business leachs where you step into a foreign country at checkin but they aren't this place reeks pride and appreciation all over it. I had a similar experience last fall, I will second everything you said. Nicest camping restrooms i've seen and when we woke up one raining morning the maids as well, ask us if we had any laundry that needed done.

I usually sleep in my own bed after riding The Dragon, but y'all are making me want to stay there. Did you say something about maids?

Sounds awesome! As a person who is going to be riding the Tail of the Dragon for the very first time this summer, I would love to see some pics of the finished rooms....My buddy and I are trying to find a hotel/motel for our ride...we are coming from Indy!

Im not sure where the Tail of the Dragon(other than online) is, but the Dragon is actually just a mile north of our front door. Room pictures should be coming soon.

Stayed at Deal's from April 21-25. It was a great experience. Met some very interesting people (with guns and cannons??). The service was great. I can't wait to come back.
