Hello everyone,

me and a couple friends of mine will be arriving in the area this Friday afternoon staying through Tuesday morning. We will be staying in Gatlinburg. I'm super excited. Anyone else gonna be out riding this weekend?

we will be staying in Gatlinburg for some nice places to eat and party it up and stuff at night. But will be making stops at the popular places over our time there.

Keep and eye out for a blk/yellow CBR929RR, a blue 00 R6, and a blk/yellow GSXR 600.

My 929 and the r6 both have HID headlights and the gsxr has some crazy colored headlight. Shouldnt be too hard to spot. Wave us down.

yeah we split gas and the room. the other female going this time doesn't ride, just wanted to get away for awhile, nice getting to spilt it an extra way.

Thanks for warmin the roads Dragonslayer! I'm hittin the highway from FL tomorrow morning at 4am hoping to be in Gatlinburg by 2 (is Gatlinburg Central time? I think so) to check-in and maybe do a lil bit of riding. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday...its on! Maybe a bit on Tuesday before we load up and head out.

loadin the trailor within the hour, packin bags, and headin up at 4am. Hopefully in Gatlinburg by 2pm. Will be in a black expedition w/ black 22" wheels with 3 bikes on the trailor behind. WHEW HOOO!!!!

Looks like you're gonna have perfect weather. The temps are cooling down around here. The leaves are starting to change but not enough yet to fill the roads with leaf-lookers.

Didnt see anyone on here that I talked with. We are still here in Gatlinburg til tomorrow but unfortunately my buddy had a mishap yesterday and broke a left side rearset on his 00 R6 and cant shift. We had to ride back from Deals Gap yesterday in 2nd gear on his bike all the way through the Foothills, through Townsend, and through the Smokey Mountains back in. Let me tell you, Smokey Mtn Natl Park in the pitch black is NOT cool, haha. Less traffic though! lol. Anyway, all is well.

Day 1 we rode the loop, Smokey mtns to foothills to Deals Gap to Robinsonville to Cherokee back through the other side of the Smokes back into Gatlinburg.
Day 2 we rode all the way through the gap over to Cherohalla Skyway. What an AMAZING road!!!!!! DO IT if you get the opportunity. We rode all the way to the other end (Tapico?) and slipped back up Ranger Road to see Bald Falls. NICE! Coming back up through the gap is where my buddy had a mishap. Some cracked bodywork, scuffed up paint, and a broken rearset was all the damage and of course a lil ego damage as well. All in all not so bad.

Ate at the resort for lunch bother Sat and Sun and the burgers were great. Talked to some nice people.

Anyway, off for some Gatlinburg fun.

Nice meeting you guys too! Sun. morning was pretty fun...I rode hard until I saw a cop coming from TN. I never saw that one by the border.....I just rode about a mile prior to the straights and turned around and kept going back and forth :) . Will be back soon.

We ate lunch at the resort saturday...we were staying there. You probably saw us and didn't know it. We rode 'Hellbender' during the policed times. I rode the dragon Sunday morning before leaving. Never made it to the skyway though. I saw a total of 3 cops sunday morning 2 parked and one patrolling. There were about 6 Satuday. Other than the rain Friday (can't complain about that too much because I got some AMAZING photos of the mountains) the weather was PERFECT.

We packed up in the rain Fri, drank lotsa beer Fri nite, left first thing Sat morn kinda bleary-eyed, so missed most y'all. Had some good Gap runs, 28 runs while the bridge was out, the "Hellbender" (hehheh, that's funny, it's a salamander), and more.

Had to slap some wrists due to doubleyellow crossings, tho...:mad: But they knew they erred, and fessed up. That's just a big NO-NO in the Gap.

Hope no one went down in your groups! Ride fast, but SAFE!

we did, never a bad trip...Maybe next year instead of two weekend trips we'll take one week long trip, then we can ride alot more. Depends on that showerhead in room 2 BEN! lol.
