well, my 1st trip to the Gap went off without a hitch. i was here/there for the SV rally in June, stayed at the Fontana Inn, Rt28 to/from Fontana is an excellent 'tune up' for the Dragon...
WOWWOWWOWOW.....
we've got some very nice roads in N Ky, but nothing to compare with THIS!!!!
on my 1st run up the hill, i was kinda tip toeing, WOWOWOWOWOW, will these corners ever quit???
how those guys go THAT fast is beyond me...
after a couple runs, it was a little more comfortable, but, what i noticed, was all the skid marks leading to a lot/most of the corners, the more skid marks, the tougher the turn!!! lollol
on the 4th day, i was felling fairly confident in my abilities, at the Gravity Cavity, a guy on a Duke came up on me, i waved him by, thought i'd fall in behind and follow him, WRONG, he stuck that puppy on the white line, and was GONE, so much for that idea!! the Saturday i was there had a lot of carnage, but, no DEATHS!!! i don't get it, if you crash at the Dragon, unless it's just a lowside, you WILL be hurt/killed... no place but down to go when you wreck bad[ie: off the Mountain!!!] why not bring it down a notch and just have a blazing good time???
anyway, off my soap box, for now....
about the Leo's, WTF???? the 5 days i was here in June, only saw a TOTAL of 4 cops the whole time, and 3 of those were on Carnage Saturday!!!
coming back on the 23 of this month, but, were gonna play in N Ga and NC, and MAYBE the Dragon, don't need/want a ticket for 2-3 over!!!

well, my buddy has backed out 'cause of the po po, i'm not going by my lonesome, so, see ya'/anybody at next year's SV Rally in June...
