Directions from FORT BRAGG

I'm new to the boards, and let me say thanks for all the info.
I'm going to ride over from Fort Bragg. Can anyone give me a good set of directions for a bike run over?

I don't know of many back roads out there, but I would take 401 to 74 and head west. Of course traffic will be busy when you go thru Charlotte, but when you get thru Gastonia and pass thru the little town of Shelby, it's nice riding. You can get on I-26 North to I-40 West to the Waynesville/Maggie Valley exit (exit 27) which will put you on 19/23/74. After you pass Bryson City, look for hwy 28, it will take you to 129.

If you want some more twisties on the way there, and less interstate, when you're on I-26 get off at exit 49B which will put you on hwy 64. Stay on 64 'til you see hwy 276. 276 is some great riding. It will take you to Waynesville where you can pick up on 23/74 West headed toward 28 and The Dragon.

or take 421 west until I 40 for a fast 4 lane run to get there quick.
