Deals Gap Resort looks like a realy cool place to stay wile riding in the area on our bikes.
We cant wait to get up there this summer and take a look around after riding up the Dragons tail.

I am all for a good time. I have spent plenty of nights out late partying.
My problem is, I am a light sleeper. If I want to get a good night sleep, I need to stay in a quiet campground.

Dose the campground have quiat hours at 10:00PM?

My experience with campgrounds is that the early risers at campgrounds always wake me up at the crack of dawn. That being the case, I've got to get to sleep by 10 or 11PM wile staying in a campground. I don’t want to get just 5 or 6 hours of sleep on vacation just like I often do during the work week.

I find if most campgrounds with 10:00PM quiet hours don’t really quiet down till 11:00 or 11:30PM

If there will be people just a few feet away from my tent, with a fire going and drinking well past quiet hours, I will never get to sleep till they call it a night.

Also, will bikers be riding into the campground after the bars close in town? If so, that will be torcher for me as it will be only four hours or so later before the early risers start up their morning campfires and start talking just a few feet away from my tent.

Indian Boundary is about 45 minutes away and they close the gate a 10PM. That dose a good job keeping the late night partiers away from that place.

I hope I can camp at the Gap and get to know other bike riders :) , but not if I only get four hours sleep a night. :(

I spent five nights at the Gap Resort.
It's really a roll of the dice as far of quiet time after 10:00 pm.
There is two sections of camping. (Before or after the fence)
You should set up your tent as far as possible past the fence.
There will be a stray, car, truck or motorcycle through the night on the dragon.
I slept well & really enjoyed my stay there.... can't wait to come back again.
It's a 50/50 place for a light sleeper.

i camped there once last year for a few nights. for the most part, it was totally quiet. the last night i camped, a group from FLORIDA decided to do burnouts on the new parking lot at around 2am. i went down and quieted it down but by then i was wide awake. so i packed up and drove home--TO FLORIDA! we're not all like those guys :) since then, i have found camping spots up on top of the hill far removed from the store area. it should be free of normal campground noises and is very close to the "nice" new showers. that's where i'll be next time!
