Well, we made our third trip to Deal's Gap and I finally made the decision that it is the last trip on a "cruiser". It is just way too limiting for that kind of ride, so as soon as I got back home I started shopping. I live in Murfreesboro, Tennesee and my dealer is Sloan's Cylcles. I have bought several bikes there so I decided to go back. The same sales person that I had bought other bikes from was still there and he started taking me through the paces of getting off the "cruiser". I looked at every thing in the place and rode most of them. My two favs were the Yamaha FZ1 and the Suzuki Bandit. The FZ1 was a little better up around 8000 RPM's but now where as comfortable and I kind of liked the "grunt" of the Bandit at low RPM's. The Bandit was also much more comfortable and I felt that on a long trip that my legs would be a little cramped on the FZ1. So I guess without saying (but I will) I chose the Bandit and I couldn't be happier. What a nice ride. So before the summer/fall is over I intend to visit the dragon again on a totally different type of bike and I can't wait. So, Deal's Gap...Here I come, and soon I hope...Banditone1250s....:eek:
