Spent the first week of June down there with a large group of folks from my area. We rented some houses in Robbinsville. I can not say enough good things about the country, the scenery, the roads and especially the people. Everywhere I went I met friendly, polite folks who would actually stop what they were doing and have a conversation with a stranger.

We took advantage of all daylight hours and rode everywhere. My favorites were, of course, the big three. The Cherohala, Route 28, and The Dragon which I made a point of running every day we were there. I would either start the day on the Dragon or finish the day with a couple of runs. I'll admit when I first arrived I was a little intimidated. Like everyone else I heard the stories, saw the photos and read all the warnings. I was also told to remember the basics which were to stay alert, stay in my lane, be courteous and most important to ride my own ride. I headed up Wheelie Hill, took that left hand curve and was addicted!!

I can not wait to get back there!
