Dragons on the Dragon. What's up?

On the longer straights about a hard braking distance away from the corner
there are red Dragons painted on the road. Are these "BRAKING MARKERS" for
local fast guys?

I am pretty sure they are warnings for hard turns, off camber turns, or decreasing radius turns. In other words slow down for these.

hmm, I didn't notice those when I went a few years ago. Is this a new thing?

They showed up this year. At one time there were dots on the road, but over time they have worn off

Yes they are there for a warning. The guys that don't know the road should heed the warning. I heed them and I am a local.

that is nice to know i will be going for the first time when i get back from the Gulf i am stuck on this boat launching jets and droping bombs on the bad guys
