View Full Version : I survived the DRAGON!
A couple of guys and I headed down from Kentucky this past Tuesday. Besides the fact that I had worked 3rd shift that previous night and had no sleep my trip was awesome. It was my first time and both of the others had been before. The trip was very spontaneous so I had no time to buy leathers etc. I have never drug a knee and really wanted to try it at the dragon. I went to my local kawasaki shop and bought a set of motorcross knee pads and threw them in my bag. My friends laughed at me and I dont think either of them thought I would get my knee down. My second trip through I strapped those puppies on and went to town. Finally I got my knees down. Every pass after that I drug em more and more. The poor knee pads didnt hold up extremely well, but they made it through my nine passes so they were worth the 15 bucks. Now I'm the only one in the group draggin :D and now to get some leathers. The gap is awesome to any thinking of going, not only the road, but the people you meet are friendly and will gladly help you out.

That is a great story. Hats off to you for your innovativeness. That took some balls!
Check out zeefoto, killboy and dragon slayer. If you find a pic of yourself with "knee pucks":D post the link. I would love to see it.
Ok, killboy has a great photo that I will be buying. If you look closely you can see 1 strap of the knee pad lol. Well let me know what you think. :D
