Sorry I have been out of the NET this weekend, had to go visit an uncle who has been very sick for sometime now. I am back and replying to all the emails. I think their was 6 million junk emails and 3-4 good ones lol. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Sorry about your uncle, totaly unrelated though, I'm planning a trip in a few weeks and figured i'd camp at the resort for the night. I was wondering if the resort is usually full durring the week, somewhere from tuesday to thursday probably when i'll be coming through just unsure if i need to make a reservation or will i be ok with just showing up? Thanks

My buddy and I camped last summer, it was great. We did it at the end of July, 24-27 July. There were people leaving on Monday night when we got there but Tues and Wed it was fairly calm. Good people to meet and great roads to ride.

One suggestion, ride other roads by day such as the Cherohala and ride the dragon in the late afternoon into the evening as you can get the road almost to yourself. I got some great video during those times.

Thanks Marcy, I was there last summer but didn't camp or anything, I'm from NY and was staying with a buddy in Charlotte, which I will be doing again this year. A few other friends were down there and camped and said it was great, good time, good people, ect. That's about what i was hoping for, I'll be alone and looking for someone to have some drinks with and bullshit around a fire.

Hi all, just have a couple questions. I plan on coming down and camping the end of this week and was just wondering how close to the store you can get gas and beer? I also was wonering about getting firewood, and if you can just get that at the store. Thanks in advance for any info.
