I drove the Dragon for the first time last May - 2006. I drove the Cherohala into NC, spent the night at the Tapoca Lodge and drove the Dragon into TN the next day.
Awesome ride! The scenery on the Cherohala is incredible, but I couldn't say about Dragon scenery because I was zoned in on the road only. ;) Unfortunately due to a time constraint, I was only able to ride it once. BUT... I'm going back this weekend with a group of about 15 Corvettes from the Corvette Action Center SE Region.
Great area and met some nice folks!
