My wife and I are going to be coming to the gap for our first time, we will be there May 5th-8th. We are tentatively planning on staying at the San Ran motel in Robbinsville, any one have any info for us? We just purchased a 2005 Royal Star Venture, this is the first bike in about 12 years. Any info on places not to be missed would be helpful. Kent

Coincidence...we'll be there the 8th and 9th. Camping at Nanthala's Campground and coming from Texas. First trip for us too.

Thanx!!!!!!!! Change of plans we can not get ahold of anyone at the San Ran and I just realized that the mini rally is that weekend. We were very lucky to find a room at the Phillips motel everyplace else we called was booked. Anyone know how traffic will be with the mini rally?

yes, traffic will be pretty crazy during that weekend. You will probably have the place all to yourself Monday and Tuesday though...

I agree, weekend traffic will be bad, come by the store and we can direct you on a few great areas to ride the Mini's will not be on. Also, look for increase of HP on the NC side. I can put you on a bunch of roads that will be less populated.

replies are much appreciated, the next week and 1/2 are not going to go by fast enough. We can't wait to get down there and meet some new freinds and put some more miles on the bike.
