I just installed steel brake lines on my gsxr. The dealer wanted $70 to install them, so I purchased a mighty vac for $38 and tried it myself. BIG MISTAKE!!!
Mighty vac sucks.
I've got one and it works great!
Maybe yours is broken. You should return it.

first.....I installed new brake lines.
second....I put mighty vac on nipple at brake lever and sucked about
half the bowl out.
third.....I put mighty vac on right caliper and did half bowl.
fourth....I put mighty vac on left caliper and did half bowl.
Still I had no brake at all.
I never let bowl run dry.I pumped about 15 times on might vac before opening nipple.
I than did same process by opening nipple and pulling lever and after
doing all three nipples I have good solid lever feel.
I hate returning stuff so I will eat the 38 bucks.BUT if anyone has any suggestions please feel free.I may try it again on my 250F.
Is it possible that the pistons in the calipers had been pressed back inside the calipers?
If so you would need to work the brake lever until the pads come far enough back out to hit the rotors.
The only other possibility I can think of is that half a bowl was not enough to get all the air out of the new brake lines.
Other than that, as far as I know, it should have worked. Sounds like the mighty vac was working fine.

if you are doing new lines you will need to pump several reservoirs through the vac. just make sure no air gets in at the top! brake fluid is cheap so just keep pumpin it through till the brakes feel good. you will see air bubbles in the vac but that is normal. once done take it for a ride and check the level. if it still feels soft repeat until desired feel is achieved. top off and you're good to go!

Just got a might vac and it worked great. I did not have one before and did it the manual way. It took forever and we used 2 bottles to put our zx 10 ss lines on.
