I don't have plans on being one of the idiots. Have there been issues in the past with the MINI group?

Brad, I believe I talked to you a couple of years ago about your Z4 & I remember you saying you were thinking about chucking it & getting a MINI. Did you ever end up getting one? Just wondering.

We looked at them but have moved on to the family cars lol. Have to get one a car seat fits into easly as well as has the room for the arsenal of stuff one has to bring along. How big do you think the group will be this year? Trying to figure out the best way to handle the gas issue when you bring tons of cars up. I am thinking of switching both tanks to premium for that weekend if that is what most mini drivers use. That way I will not run out of gas.

Brad,

Registration for MOTD 2007 has not opened up yet, so who knows how many we will really have, but all indications show us having a group at least as big as last year (which was 400 MINIs & 600 people). Fontana & Tapoco are already filled and the other places to stay are filling up rapidly.

The word is already out that we don't want run you dry at the gas station, but I can keep pushing that idea if you would like me to. Yes, a majority of the Coopers that attend are the S variation & mainly use premium. I ride as well, and the last thing I want is for the MINI group to cause a gas shortage for the bikes that weekend.

Glad to see the store is open. A few of us from the AtlantaMINIS are coming up tomorrow to make some decisions for events for our membership when we come up for MOTD5.

Mmmmmm, Dragon Burgers.:D

Hey guys so you know, both NCHP as well as TNHP showed up in force for the S2000 club and they had 1/2 your numbers. TN will probably just dedicate 1 or 2 cars for the weekend. Look for more from the NC side to include road blocks checking id's and stuff. That is what the S2000 club ran into.

What a great event! This was my 8th Gap trip, but this was my first meet of this size. The new store is fabulous. The highlight was definitely Midnight on the Dragon Sat. May 5th. The site of 70+ MINIs with their headlights pointed to the sky was priceless.
