I rode from Burlington Ky. over to Maysville down Route 11, detoured through the Red River Gorge area, through the Nada Tunnel, back on to 11 south to 92 west to Williamsburg Ky. Picked up 75 south from there to Route 68 to Tellico Plains, across the Cherohala to 129 into Robbinsville. I arrived at my accomodations a total of 12 hours later, a tent at the Iron Horse, where they were kind enough to wait up for me. The following day I rode the Dragon most of the day, I just couldn't stop myself. Other roads? what other roads? My face cramped up from smiling so much. I did ride the portion of 28 between the Iron Horse and the resort, very nice, and of course the Cherohala on the way in. I will be returning this summer and I plan on staying at Deals Gap. This time I will take a less tiring route in and devote more time to exploring the entire area, if I can tear myself away from the dragon.:D
