Did a bit of local riding up here in da grate whit nortt this past wknd, since it warmed up to 39'F Sat and mid-40's Sun, put on about 150 miles.
Rest assured..... our roads still suck. And some areas have WAY too much salt.

It's the SALT - that's why I put the cover on the bike in November and FIGHT - FIGHT - FIGHT the urge to take the cover off until late March.
With 50 degrees last weekend and projected for this weekend, I am FIGHTING it!

wifey and i rode yesterday! it was about 56 gradeez! it is a sin to let ones steed sit for 5 months!! once you get used to washing you're bike about 3 times a year it does not matter when you ride!(motto-warm enough to wash, warm enough to ride!) saw lots of bikes out the last few days. no excuses, get out and ride!(wash with cold water and salt does not hurt a thing)
I don't even wash mine three times a year! I have dirt from 19 different states on the bike right now. I can't bear to part with the memories.

Ralphie - I hear ya on the 5 months. Sad!
Have fun riding this weekend (I agree, chicks on bikes rocks!)
South of Zanesville is where the fun starts in Ohio! If the weather is decent I will try to get out a little and I will watch out for you.
Isn't it funny that it is only the Ohio and Michigan guys posting. Winter is our loneliest season.
