Well gang construction on the new store has begun. Here are a few pics from day one.....my favorite phase (destruction) lol. Wow, can not believe some of the crap we are finding, not sure how we have not managed to have the store fall down yet lol. We will continue to post as we move along.

the pics of pete's beer stash are awsome. i remember bribing Pete to let me stay at the campground for free for a case of beer. It's nice to know he drank a few of the cans...

Yaaaaa demo is about done, just some minor floor work and we are off. Keith I will start a new thread for the construction phase of the project. But looks like we will start putting the place back together on the 26th of Dec. I expect the first floor to be completed by early Feb or if we are lucky late Jan. The second story will be late Feb around opening time frame. But as a heads up we are taking all storage and the womens restroom out of the first floor and opening up all the floor space for retail. The storage and offices will be up stairs. The second story will extend into the parking lot giving us some covered parking as well as the front benches will all be under cover.

To Brad or other Deals Gap staffers: I know it's a dumb question, but what do you do in the winter? Does the store totally close or do you keep it open for fuel sales, etc... just wondering what happens when that white stuff... oh, I forgot what it's called... starts falling on the ground :)

sorry for bring this back from the dead but I was out of the loop for too long ( I broke my back this summer on a seadoo so wasn't up for any fast driving lol, I'm fine now though)

What is the story on the beer cans? The old owner just liked to drink and somehow put them into the wall? Where was the fire damage as well? I can't wait to see the new building hopefully thursday as well!
