I just had a great ride with my friend Brian to the Wilson Co. fair.
Untill we got ready to leave the fair, and found both our Jackets gone, my gloves gone. his D-rings cut off of his helmet, and the wiring harness to his new R6 with less than 4k mi. hanging from the side of his bike.

Any thing like this ever happen up at the hotel?

Man that sucks. I am pissed off just hearing about that. Well you still got your bikes. It is just time for some new gear. As far as the hotel goes, there are to many people around not to notice something like that to happen. With the people staying at the motel and the people stopping by to chat and shop I don't think you have to worry my friend. I was down there August 19-22 and had an awesome time despite the rain.

Almost doesn't matter where you live you know there are go and no-go zones. Sad but human condition true that xenophobia is a genetic level behavior & for 80% of the bipeds out there we bike people are really easy for them to see as "other" or as "enemy". It has become MUCH worse in recent years.

This is the reason to patronize the DGMCR & similar businesses - anywhere.

Really sad - but really inevitable.

Dude, that sucks that you lost your jacket, but I have one even worse.....my 2001 Fatboy was stolen from outside the Mainstay Suites in Alcoa, TN on the Sunday night before Labor Day. I was almost 500 miles away from home....... So if anyone sees a silver Harley Davidson Fatboy with a NC tag that reads FATNFST, call the cops!!! That bike is stolen!!! The only good part is that on the Sunday before I had just had a great ride taming the Dragon so the weekend wasn't a total loss!
