We are visiting the Suches GA area in October for the Vintage Japanese rally at TWO. How far is it to the Gap from Suches and does anyone have a suggested route? Thanks

Or cross over to 129 and go over Blood Mountain.

Yes. Min traffic on max twisties. Max scene. N on GA 60 to Copperhill, TN 68. N on 68 to Ducktown. W on US64 to TN 30. N on 30 to Reliance. N from Reliance on 315. Rt onto TN39 & few miles into Tellico Plains. Pick up TN 165 (Cherohalla Pkwy) E. Over line onto NC 143 & down to Robbinsville. US129, left, North at Robbinsville & run 129 N about 16-18 miles to Deals Gap.
100% opinionated - 30 + years on these roads - the only way for a bike ...
If you simply need to check the Gap off a list then run GA60 to TN68 to US64 east to US129 North and go till you see either lots of motorcycles or the state line sign. You're there...
I agree with them..I would first go south on 60, around to 129, over Blood mtn, then left onto Wolfpen Gap Rd, and then right or north on 60. Go over to Tellico Plaines TN and over the Skyway...I personally would not go through Joyce Kilmer, but just left on 129 on the far side of the Skyway, but the ride from 28 to the Gap is also good, so maybe a loop would be a good idea. I promise you you will see alot, and your butt will hurt by the end of the Day. I have done that very same ride at least a couple times a year, but it takes me 70 miles just to meet my buddies at TWO. 28 North of the Gap all the way to Walahalla SC is fun too.
