I got back to Houston last Sunday from a week riding/driving the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains with 5 motorcycle riding friends. Bikes were a BMW 2004 R1150RT, a BMW K1200RS, a 2004 Trumpet Bonneville, a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 650R and a 2005 Ducati ST4abs. I was in my 2005 Corvette convertible (6 speed manual, of course).
We stayed in Asheville for two days and Dillsboro for 3. Highlights were the Wheels of Time museum in Maggie Valley, the road to Bald River Falls and the highlight was riding the The Dragon a few times. I was amazed to find that the Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort is like the bar in "Star Wars" ... you see ALL kinds of people there... all in a peaceful glow, everyone mellowed by the fantastic venue and the great folks at the Resort. You guys have a special place!

We can't wait for another trip up, this one was only 3500 miles total and it still seemed too short.
