Great job...and I like the color.

The color is what I call a silky black, it has lots of pigment in it and a very light metallic. it hids dust and scratchs far better than just a gloss blackthe Honda on the bottom of the bike and the Honda wings are painted on not decals, Andy wanted to match the color of the brakes to the logos and painting them on was the only way to do it

This will also be the color of Brads BMW when we get finished painting it

Forgive my ignorance, since I have been out of the bike business for about 20 years, but I want to know about that orange bike! What is it, what did you start with and what customizing did you do? Is it street legal? And one more stupid question, I have noticed that on killboy's web site he lists tourers, cruisers, cars and motards. What's a motard???? I really liked the video too, sure wish I had your skills. Oh, well enjoy it while your young and stay safe!!

The orange bike is made by KTM it is what they call a motard, this one is a 560 race bike, it is registered and insured it does lack a couple of things to make it legal that were in a box back at the trailor. it still has the track tires on it.

A motard is a dirt bike with sport bike tires on it, I have attached another picture of mine

http://empiregp.com/mediastore/imageGallery/2005/06/week-03/full/IMG_4313.jpg

this is a 520 ktm which came with both the off road tires and the motard tires from the factory, I ride it off road during the spring and fall and race on the ice with it in the winter time then put on the motard tires for the summer, it has been the best investment in fun every made. While it is not the best dirt bike, ice racer or motard it does everything pretty well, Set up as a motard it is faster than my R1 on the Dragon, it weighs only 240 pounds and can out brake the R1 and carry much more corner speed than the R1 because of it's weight, it is easy and cheap to ride.

I am not to sure about being young , Russ who is pictured with me is my son, I am only waiting to become a grandpa and looking for retirement so I honestly don't see myself as young anymore...Bob

Thanks for the info. I'm not a grandpa yet so you made me feel a little better. ( I'll hit the big 50 this month) I only discovered the dragon a couple of months ago, and I love coming over and watching. My first street bike in 20+ years is a '99 Yamaha Roadstar, so I'm probably in the way when I'm on the hill. This past Sat. I rode up with my son and introduced him to Mr. Dragon. On the way back down the hill I couldn't keep up with him (750 Nighthawk) and he keeps asking "when we going back?". We live in Rogersville, Tn. so it's a short trip. Maybe I'll meet you over there one day and get to gander at that bike. Again thanks for the info and may the good Lord keep you safe!

There is nothing better than being able to ride with your son, the speed does not really matter. Russ and I are planning late Oct or early Nov for our next trip maybe we will get to see you there..Bob

Thanks for the kind words... Andy was fine, a little banged up, but he missed no work and went rock climbing the following weekend, he is also in his early 20s... so heals up pretty quick and takes a lot to keep you down at that age
