FOOTHILLS PARKWAY

Excellent route to travel to and from Deal’s Gap. The road is in good condition with one minor detour. Several pull offs along the route provide great views of the Merryville and Knoxville valleys. Route is 16.5 miles and should take you around 23-30 minutes to complete depending on the number of stops you make. You will not find food or gas on the route but will find camping at the Top Of The World.

		Ride Info START POINT: N35 33.507 W 84 0597 FINISH POINT: N35 43.088 W83 49.277 GAS: Get Gas before you get on the parkway, next gas station is at Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort, 14 miles after the end of the Parkway. CAMP: Look Rock camping at the mid point of the foothills. Has rustic camping, $14.00 a night. Has bathrooms. FOOD: No food on the parkway, but there are places to picnic along the way LODGING: No lodging on the parkway

ATTRACTIONS: Look Rock tower, Medium climb to an observation tower. Great views of the entire area. Go on a good clear day, so you can get maximum views. There is a large pull off that indicates the tower walk (see picture of the sign). Would not recommend you climb up with uncomfortable shoes or riding boots.
